Antz

It was my second time to watch this movie in the television show courtesy of GMA network.

What else could i say? This movie is absolutely very great, with a powerhouse cast and very good story line and morale it offers to the audience then there’s nothing for you to regret the money you have paid in the movie house and the time you have spended watching it. I highly commend this movie! With a ratings of 4/5! Congratulations!emoticon

Summary:

In an anthill with millions of inhabitants, Z 4195 is a worker ant. Feeling insignificant in a conformity system, he accidentally meets beautiful Princess Bala, who has a similar problem on the other end of the social scale. In order to meet her again, Z switches sides with his soldier friend Weaver - only to become a hero in the course of events. By this he unwillingly crosses the sinister plans of ambitious General Mandible (Bala’s fiancĂ©, by the way), who wants to divide the ant society into a superior, strong race (soldiers) and an inferior, to-be-eliminated race (the workers). But Z and Bala, both unaware of the dangerous situation, try to leave the oppressive system by heading for Insectopia, a place where food paves the streets.

Home Alone 3

I think this movie was shown many times in GMA-7 but i never had the chance to watch it before because i was kind of busy. Only this time luckily, because of Christmas break. Yeheey! This movie was the sequel of Home Alone (1990) and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992) which starred the famous Macaulay Culkin ( he is two years older than me). I have only seen the first Home Alone in the big screen, the second one not yet and home alone 3 just recently that’s why i am doing the sort of review here. Hmmnn, when i searched in Wikipedia i found out that there was still Home Alone 4 (gossh, i am left behind).

As the title says, the movie was all about a boy left alone in their home. But this time around it’s no longer Macaulay Culkin because he was actually 17 years old when this movie was first shown way back in 1997 instead the cute boy named Alex D. Linz who coveted the role (out of the 100 kids). The reason why he was left home because he has chicken pox. The movie started with an old lady mistakenly carried the wrong bag in the airport and brought it home. And in that bag was a remote controlled car and a microchip stolen that can act as a cloaking device for a missile. The four spies or thieves who were working in a North Korean terrorist organization searched for it along the neigborhood of Alex. The kid catches them in action inside the houses, and calls the police, but they manage to escape in the nick of time. This occurs twice, and eventually the police think that the child is faking that’s why her brother and sisters including her mother was kind of disappointed with him. This line was one of the many memorable that he said "Well, I guess you have to be 35 before anyone around here listens to you. " So, he made a plan on how to catch them. The traps he made was really funny (you know, work of a kid) but take note: smart kid. The four spies can just easily get the microchip but it has been shown that way because it was a comedy movie.

I am satisfied with the ending, really and i cried when he ran and embraces his mother. Ohh…a child doing a great job and becomes a hero. "Excuse me for being a good citizen", as he said. Ratings? 3/5! Congratulations!

Lovestruck

GMA is now offering a new treat to all movie fan because they already has this new show every Sunday after SOP which showcase Filipino Movies. The first one they had was Mulawin followed by Enteng Kabisote and Lovestruck a week ago. Yesterday, i was not able to watch the new movie being shown because we were busy practicing for our MTV Spoof.

This time around i will be having a short say about the movie LoveStruck which features the winners of the famous reality artista search in GMA, StarStruck. The casts were Jolina Magdangal which plays as a narrator and has an important role in the movie, Jennylyn Mercado, Mark Herras, Yasmin Kurdi, Mike Tan, Rainier Castillo, Ryza Zenon, LJ Reyes, Kirby de Jesus, CJ Muere and others. It was being tagged as Dream. Believe. Love quoted from the famous line of Dream. Believe. Survive, StarStruck!

Acting skills, i like it even if the story was just so shallow. I can clearly see that they were really good. No wonder where they are now! They have been making names in the local showbiz. Their success can be attributed also on how GMA take good care of their talents especially those coming from the reality search. Going back to the movie, we were having fun while watching it. The story line is forgivable.

I gave it 2 out of 5! I am looking forward for the coming movies of these people who are coming from Starstruck! New batch of hopefuls are now in again as StarStruck The Next Level began last December 4.

Wag Kang Lilingon

It was never my plan to watch a movie that time because i don’t have money but after checking my ATM and later found out that i have something to spend i decided to treat myself in an another big screen experienced and eat outside ( the last movie i watched was Snakes on a Plane ) I intend to watch Casino Royale but since Roan requested me to have a suspense and horror experienced i gave in. emoticon I told to myself okay, let us see if the commercial and all that promotions are really true because many are attesting that the movie is really good.

My movie experienced? There are instances that i shouted but it was not a 100% manifestation that i was frightened because of the scene. It was because i just want to count up to the noise others were doing. [ Silly me ] About the two story, i found it not that engrossing. I think the ‘Wag Kang Lilingon’ tag line was not just apt. I found it not justifiable [ i don’t know for some reasons in my mind ]. I don’t like how Melissa (Anne Curtis) turned out to be after the bad incident that had happened to them when she was still a child. Maybe because i always go for good things to happen instead of a bad one. They have said that the movie can be equated that to the Korean horror films yes, somehow because there are scenes that serves as the copy cats of them.

With regards to acting prowess, not that satisfied even. I will not point out anymore who made those actings that are not convincing or appealing to me. Gossh, i am so bitter in this post as if nothing good to convey. I was affected maybe because i was expecting too much from the movie considering it has a good cast which are Kristine Hermosa and Anne Curtis who did magnificently in the primitime scenes. Forgive me for saying all those stuff above.

Anyway, my rating is 2/5. Check out for the official website of this movie, Wag Kang Lilingon.

It started with a Kiss

It is aired  every Saturday and Sunday in ABS-CBN at around 10am. I love the story sooooooooo much because i can relate well [sigh]. It makes me remember of this someone who makes my heart beats so fast up to now.

Synopsis:

Yuan Xiangqin (Ariel Lin) is a naive but optimistic high school girl. Ever since she met Jiang Zhi Shu (Joe Cheng) at the freshman orientation, she’s fallen in love with the genius with an IQ of 200. After two years of having a crush on him, she finally musters the courage to confess to him at school. Zhi Shu is not impressed, and his cold-hearted rejection immediately turns her into the biggest joke of the school.

Misfortune comes in a pair: that evening, the new house she has just moved into with her father collapses in a minor earthquake. She and her father are instantly left homeless. Fortunately, her father’s old high school friend extends a helping hand and invites both of them to live at his house. Little did Xiang Qin know that the kind Uncle Li is actually the father of Jiang Zhishu! Because of the unexpected turn of events, the two of them begin living their lives under the same roof. From then on, both families hoped that Zhi Shu will eventually marry Xiang Qin because they seemed like a good couple. Thus, Zhi Shu’s mother always try to set both of them up together, though causing more trouble in the process.

Nothing has ever seemed too hard for Zhi Shu; he’s overcome every obstacle in his life with a practiced ease. However, Xiang Qin’s appearance is like a tornado, turning his perfectly organized life into a whirlwind of unpredictable events. Despite his initial coldness and annoyance, Xiang Qin’s blind courage and determination causes him to re-evaluate and think about his own life and future. Xiang Qin always followed him as a shadow to try to win his heart. He kissed her twice without telling her that he loved her and he behaved more and more badly to her. A girl named Zi Yu became acquianted with him through college and soon after Xiang Qin moved out to another house. After Zhi Shu’s family learned that he kissed Xiang Qin, they immediately invited her family back to live with Zhi Shu in hopes that they will one day marry.

I am excited for the ending. I hope it will also happen in my real life where i can finally win his heart. Who knows? Nothing is impossible diba.
