What Lies Beneath

During the semestral break, watching movies was my pastime. And among those movies that i’ve watched,  What Lies Beneath (2000) is my featured old movie for today.

I like the plot. The man who has an affair with his student and the woman who is in the stage of educing the past. The student-teacher relationship and infedility issue which are being put into consideration and are just timely on what has been happening around. Just like last Sunday in one of the local show, our Mayor talked about this student-teacher issue and how he is mad about teachers who abuse their authority.

Anywayz, in the story Norman (Harrison Ford) killed his student. A heartless killing because he just threw the body into the lake. Pretended that nothing happened and live a normal life.

But you can never escape the truth. It will really show in any way it maybe like when Claire (Michelle Pfeiffer) started to be terrified of the sudden disappearance of her neighbor Mary. And from there strange things just happened. In the door, in her computer and when the picture always fell down from the table. She probed and found out that it was the ghost of the student whom Norman killed was haunting her. The interesting part of the movie where in the scenes of her escape from her husband especially in the bathtub.

Just a trying review, i rate this movie 3 out of 5.
